A personalized, respectful and inclusive Online Educational Project

Open Montessori (OM) is a 100% online Montessori school in Chile oriented to Spanish-speaking families (classes and materials are delivered in Spanish), a Free and Independent Educational Project with more than six years of experience, designed so that children ages 3 to 14 develop their autonomy, critical thinking and love of learning from home.

Through live remote classes, specialized Guides (Teachers) accompany each student using the fundamental principles of Montessori education, fostering their natural curiosity and their ability to solve problems thoughtfully.

OM combines this methodology with the use and support of innovative technologies, offering classes in small groups (of up to 11 students) and personalized (offline) work plans that respect the unique pace and needs of each child.

How does it work?

Online classes with Montessori Educators

At OM, we offer a full school year with Montessori Guides (Teachers) who accompany each child throughout their entire learning process.

We provide an optimized digital learning environment combining collaborative online work and autonomous offline activities. We use Montessori materials that we send to your home, complemented with audiovisual content and printable resources. This way, each child receives a personalized and balanced education that respects their natural learning pace.

Personalized quality education

At OM, we limit classes to a maximum of 11 students to offer personalized attention. We adapt the daily structure according to the educational level to ensure that each child receives the support they need, respecting their natural development.

Comprehensive Montessori Curriculum

Throughout the year, children explore various areas of the Montessori curriculum, ranging from Sensorial and Practical Life to Mathematics, Language, Sciences, Art, History, Geography and Geometry. In addition, we offer a variety of afternoon workshops that complement the educational experience, allowing each student to deepen their personal interests and enhance their comprehensive development.

Mission
Mission

We are driven to accompany, in an individualized way, the development of reflective, autonomous and free human beings. We use active methodologies that give our students the tools they need to build their lives according to their own wishes and aspirations.

Vision
Vision

We want to make access to a Montessori educational environment easier in Chile and other Spanish-speaking countries, turning the geographical diversity of families into an opportunity for authentic cultural encounter. Through this approach, based on the Montessori philosophy, we actively seek to promote peace and intercultural understanding.

What makes us different

Montessori materials at home

Montessori pedagogy invites children to learn through experience and contact with concrete materials. Since our beginnings we have worked to send physical Montessori materials directly to each student's home, and we keep growing in this direction to enrich learning more and more.

Groups of up to 11

Live classes (not pre-recorded) with a maximum of 11 students per class and specialized Guides (Teachers), for truly personalized observation and follow-up.

100% pass rate

Our approach achieves a 100% pass rate in free exams, caring for the emotional wellbeing of every student, without stress.

Live classes

Daily connections through Google Meet with real Guides (Teachers) who accompany each child throughout the entire school year.

Extracurricular workshops

Workshops that develop artistic and motor skills that enhance learning in general, allowing each student to connect with their own interests.

Six years of experience

More than six years accompanying families from Chile and the Americas with a free, independent and child-centered educational project.

Love, respect and inclusion

Every child is welcome exactly as they are. We educate from love, respect for their own timing and inclusion, without comparisons or pressure.

Low screen exposure

Online classes are complemented with hands-on materials and activities created especially for each class: your child learns with their hands, not just in front of a screen.

Safe technology

Our platforms EducaXD and SchoolXD are designed for childhood: age-appropriate content, family supervision and a 100% protected digital environment.

Frequently asked questions

Although OM is a 100% online educational project, we currently focus on Chile, since specific requirements must be met for each country. So for now only in Chile, but we are getting everything ready to open in other countries.

Yes, our educational project is fully online, with remote classes taught by specialized Guides (Teachers) and small groups of children. Connections are made through Google Meet. They are not pre-recorded classes; they are taught by Guides (Teachers) in small groups, so we are not like other online schools.

The equivalent up to 1st year of secondary school in Chile. We offer multi-grade levels that, following the Montessori approach, are organized according to your child's age and development:

Children's House, 3 to 6 years
Workshop I, 6 to 9 years
Workshop II, 9 to 12 years.
Panello, 12 to 14 years.

No, OM is a private and independent educational project.

Children can validate their studies by taking free exams at designated schools. At OM we prepare children and families so they can take these tests and advance through the equivalent of regular education. 100% of the students who have taken free exams have passed them.

At Open Montessori we work with a maximum of 11 students per class. This allows each Guide (Teacher) to know your child by name, their pace and their interests, offering truly personalized attention. In addition, classes are held with cameras and microphones on, which makes real interaction possible: children participate, ask questions, talk and socialize as in an in-person classroom, not as spectators of a screen.

When comparing online schools in Chile, the key criteria are: group size (at OM, a maximum of 11 students per class, versus 15 to 40 in mass platforms), real live classes (not pre-recorded), free exam results (100% of OM students who have taken the exams have passed), learning beyond the screen (we are the only online school in Chile that sends physical Montessori materials home), emotional support (a psychologist for families) and child-safe technology (we develop our own platforms, EducaXD and SchoolXD). We invite you to compare these criteria with any alternative and to read the real experiences of our families.
